Bangkok: August 27, 2015 – SCG Logistics, leader in the service provision of comprehensive logistics and cargo transport, both domestic and international, held a seminar entitled “Supply Chain Mania D-Day 2015” (Inspired and Applicable Seminar for Supply Chain Mania People) at Phothalai Leisure Park as an expression of its appreciation for long years of business patronage of major customers. Khun Syamrath Suthanukul, Managing Director of SCG Logistics Management Co., Ltd., gave the opening speech and presented the company’s vision and mission involving the generation of inspiration and opportunities on the path to jointly achieve new business objectives.
The event consisted of two keynote lectures. The first entitled “The Power of Collaborations” was given byAssoc. Prof. Dr. Ruth Banomyong, specialized in international logistics. In the lecture, Dr. Ruth touched on the power of world-renowned collaborations on excellent logistics management in the battlefield which became the basis of today’s logistics system as well as essential foundation of the maritime gateway to Europe, an inspiring milestone to be applied in the positioning of Thailand as gateway to ASEAN whereby sustainability relies on Thailand’s supply chain management. The second keynote lecture entitled “Value Creation through Service Excellence” was given by Mr. Opart Dhanvarjor, Senior Executive Vice President of Siam Kubota Corporation Co.,Ltd. Mr. Opart touched on the secrets to success which have enabled Kubota to maintain its decades-long status as leader of farm machinery market, the status unsurpassed for Thai farmers all through more than 37 years.
To impress its special customers, the company provided selected international dishes for the event, particularly the Japanese booths with delectable dishes by chefs from the Iron Chef’s Japanese Cooking TV fame and Chef Buntham Bhakpho who prepared first-rate sashimi and sushi using selected ingredients. The memorable closing number was performed by Ms Namcha Chiranath, the beautiful special guest whose number ‘Rak Thae Yang Ngai’ was very popular. Her non-stop singing and dancing brought great fun to all participants up until the end. Aside from the spectacular conclusion of the seminar, participants gained an insight into the logistics business which was both thought-provoking and expandable for application in various businesses along with the provision of delectable food and fun-filled entertainment.
